Do elite employers ban AI in applications?
Not as a general rule in the current Who Gets In? comparison subset. In the defined AI-policy subset of eight institutions, published rules differ by task and context. The useful distinction is between candidate preparation or assistance and protected assessment contexts where the candidate must own the work.

Eight institutions in the governed official-source AI-policy comparison subset: McKinsey & Company, UBS, PwC UK, Clifford Chance UK, Deloitte UK, HSBC, BCG and A&O Shearman.
What this does not show
This is not a prevalence estimate for all elite employers. It does not imply that every institution permits AI in every application task, and it does not convert a rule for one programme, stage or market into a universal institution-wide rule.
