How do reviewed elite US recruiting timelines, eligibility and process architecture differ?
There is no single elite-US recruiting calendar or stage architecture. The reviewed routes differ materially by programme: eligibility year, opening month, review window, decision timing and assessment sequence all vary.
Reviewed evidence
Goldman Sachs' Americas Summer Analyst route is usually undertaken in the third or penultimate year (SIG-232). Barclays publishes an application → assessment → interview → next-steps architecture while noting role-level variation (SIG-243). Susman Godfrey publishes a fixed July review start and expected decision window for its 2027 summer route (SIG-250). Moelis says U.S. Summer Analyst applications typically open in December of sophomore year (SIG-253). PJT says U.S. Summer Analyst applications generally open in the preceding spring and close before summer (SIG-255). Centerview says its summer internship targets college juniors and full-time analysts start after graduation (SIG-258).

What this does not prove
This is not a universal recruiting calendar. Dates, eligibility and stage structure remain institution-, programme- and cycle-specific.
