Before
Law student. University of Aberdeen. State school background. Low A-levels.
Self-described sceptic. Unconvinced that free content could move the needle.
Strong first-class academic record and work experience — but frameworks were the missing component.
After
Two consecutive Morgan Stanley Spring Insights.
First Year Scheme, Osborne Clarke.
CMS 2026 Insight Programme — Final Stage Interview.
Scotiabank 11-week Summer Role — Interview Stage.
The Problem
State school. Non-target university. Low A-levels. Law student trying to break into finance at Morgan Stanley.
The structural barriers facing Aden Laszlo were not marginal. University of Aberdeen is not a target university for Morgan Stanley. Morgan Stanley does not run campus recruitment at Aberdeen. A law student attempting to cross into finance faces an additional credibility deficit on top of the geographic and institutional disadvantage.
His academic record was strong — first-class performance and substantial work experience. But academic results alone do not convert at elite selection stage. The component that was missing was the framework: a structured, evidence-led approach to CV construction and written applications that presents a non-target, non-standard candidate in the language that elite selection panels are trained to identify and score.
His A-levels were low. He knew they might be held against him. He was sceptical that any content could change what he assumed was a closed door.
He was wrong. The door was not closed. The framework was missing.
The Solution
VTMR™. Applied thoroughly. From a standing start.
No sessions. No programme. Free ECS content applied with complete consistency across every written application.
VTMR™ — Hassan Akram's CV and written application framework. Verb, Task, Metric, Result. Applied to every bullet point, every experience entry, and every written answer. Eliminated padding and generic language that causes non-target applications to be screened out within seconds of review. For a candidate with strong experience but no institutional prestige to fall back on, VTMR™ is the difference between the application reaching a human and being filtered before it does.
Law-to-finance crossover — the frameworks translated legal and academic experience into the commercial and analytical language that finance application readers screen for. The discipline of VTMR™ does not require a finance background. It requires rigour in how experience is presented. Aden had the experience. VTMR™ gave it the right structure.
Scepticism converted by results — Aden describes himself as initially unconvinced. He followed the content thoroughly regardless. The results followed. That sequence — scepticism, rigour, outcome — is the proof of concept for the system functioning independently of the founder.
The Results
Five elite firm progressions. Free content. Zero spend. Non-target to Morgan Stanley, CMS, and Scotiabank.
Aden Laszlo's outcome stack from free ECS content alone:
Morgan Stanley Spring Insight — secured in Year 1. Morgan Stanley does not recruit at Aberdeen. He got in anyway.
Morgan Stanley Spring Insight — secured again in Year 2. Consecutive. The same non-target candidate, the same framework, the same result replicated.
First Year Scheme, Osborne Clarke — law firm progression demonstrating the framework operates across both law and finance tracks simultaneously.
CMS 2026 Insight Programme — Final Stage Interview. One of the most competitive early-insight programmes in the international law market. Final stage interview secured from a non-target university.
Scotiabank 11-week Summer Role — interview stage. A full-cycle summer role at a global bank, progressing from a standing start at a university the bank does not target.
Five elite firm progressions. Law and finance simultaneously. Non-target university. State school background. Low A-levels. Free content only.
His A-levels, in his own words, are no longer considered. His frameworks were the game changer.
