Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 April 2026
These terms govern your use of the Elite Careers Strategy website at accessecs.com, our newsletter, and any direct communication with us. They do not replace the specific engagement agreement you sign when you become an advisory client. Where the two conflict, the signed engagement agreement takes precedence.
1. Who we are
Elite Careers Strategy ("ECS", "we", "us", "our") is a UK-based advisory practice founded by Hassan Akram, providing strategic career advisory services to candidates targeting corporate law, investment banking, private equity, and related elite career paths, and to their families and sponsoring institutions.

2. Nature of the service
ECS provides strategic career advisory, frameworks, proof-matched precedents, application review, interview preparation, and related guidance. Our engagements are bespoke and are agreed in writing before any work begins.
No guaranteed outcome. We do not and cannot guarantee any specific application outcome, interview result, offer, or placement. Graduate recruitment at elite firms is highly competitive, decisions rest entirely with the hiring firms, and past results do not predict future results. Any outcomes referenced on our website, in our newsletter, or in our materials are specific to the individual client and their circumstances. Some client examples are anonymised. All evidence is on file and available on request.
3. Eligibility and engagement
- Our services are intended for candidates aged 16 and over. Candidates under 18 must have a parent or guardian involved in the engagement.
- ECS operates a firm policy that a parent or guardian must join the diagnostic call alongside every candidate, regardless of age, unless specifically waived in writing.
- ECS reserves the right to decline any engagement at our sole discretion.
4. Fees and payment
Fees are discussed privately during the diagnostic call and are set out in a written engagement agreement before work begins. We do not publish prices on the website. Payment terms are specified in the engagement agreement. All fees are quoted in British pounds sterling unless otherwise agreed.
A diagnostic call may be chargeable or complimentary depending on the profile of the enquiry and will be confirmed before the call takes place.
5. Newsletter and marketing communications
By subscribing to our newsletter or submitting an enquiry through our website, you consent to receive email communications from us related to our advisory services, content, and relevant updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.
6. Intellectual property
All content on accessecs.com, including frameworks (such as STAR-3, PEAL-3, VTMR), track record, written materials, videos, and our newsletter, is the intellectual property of Elite Careers Strategy and is protected under UK copyright law. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell our content, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
Client outcomes and quotes used in our materials are published with the client's consent where named, and anonymised otherwise, in accordance with our confidentiality commitments.
7. Confidentiality
Any personal or strategic information you share with us during an enquiry, diagnostic call, or active engagement is held in confidence. We do not disclose client identities, situations, or documents without the client's express consent. Our data handling is further governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use our website, content, or services for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website, servers, or systems.
- Scrape, mirror, or mass-download our content without our written permission.
- Misrepresent yourself or anyone else when submitting an enquiry or communicating with us.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECS, Hassan Akram, and any contractor or affiliate working with ECS are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of this website, our newsletter, or our services, including but not limited to loss of opportunity, loss of profit, or emotional distress. Our total liability to any client is limited to the fees actually paid by that client under the relevant engagement agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of our website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
