This page is for private bankers, family-office principals, wealth advisers and education advisers whose clients ask for help with a son or daughter's career. Elite Careers Strategy (ECS) is a London-based private careers advisory. It works one-to-one with candidates aiming for corporate law, investment banking, private equity and consulting, and with the families who support them.
Who it is for
- Private bankers and wealth advisers whose clients raise a child's career at a review meeting and want a name they can trust.
- Family offices looking after the next generation's education and early career.
- Education advisers and school counsellors whose students are moving from university into the most selective graduate programmes.
The families ECS works with are usually supporting a candidate at university or in the first years of a career, often from outside the UK.
How an introduction works
- You introduce the family. A short email to ECS, or the family applies directly and names you as the person who introduced them.
- A confidential Private Diagnostic. Hassan Akram, the founder, meets the candidate, and a parent or sponsor if the family wishes. It establishes where the candidate stands and whether ECS can help.
- A written proposal. If ECS can help, the family receives a written proposal setting out the scope of the work.
- The family decides. There is no obligation to proceed, and the decision sits with the family alone.
You are kept informed only if the family consents to it, and only to the extent they agree.
Confidentiality
ECS does not disclose a family's engagement to anyone without that family's consent. That includes the person who introduced them. Many families come to ECS precisely because the matter is private.
What ECS does and does not do
- ECS prepares candidates for the selection processes that leading firms publish: applications, online assessments, interviews and assessment centres.
- Every engagement is led personally by Hassan Akram. We deliberately limit the number of families we work with each year.
- ECS does not guarantee offers. Hiring decisions sit with employers, and are made on the candidate's own performance.
- ECS has 100+ documented outcomes and selection progressions. How we count outcomes explains what that figure includes.
