Karamveer Singh Kahlon's first message to Hassan, 7:55 PM on Thursday 3 November 2022, via the ECS Pensight inbound channel - the booking + chat platform Hassan uses to qualify prospective clients before any paid work begins. At this point Karam was still in sixth form at St Albans School (age 17), pre-UCAS, and not yet a paying client. The message explicitly mentions hearing "another client got an interview at McKinsey" and looks forward to "announcing on LinkedIn that I am a client of such a prestigious company." Genesis moment of the four-year engagement that produced the offer letters below.

Morgan Stanley · Step In Step Up Insight Day attended (Canary Wharf)

Pre-university elite-finance proof. Karam attended the Morgan Stanley 2023 Step In, Step Up Insight to Banking event at Morgan Stanley's London Canary Wharf headquarters - one of the most selective pre-university IB programmes globally - eight months after first contact and a full year before his A-Level results. The engagement was already producing tier-1 outcomes before the degree had begun.

I got back from the Morgan Stanley insight day last night. It was a long day to say the least it started at 8:30am-5:30pm but it was so insightful and fun. We heard from an MD in IBD and an associate in IBD too which was great to hear and the job seems very appealing. It was great to speak to like minded students as well and I can’t wait to add it to my CV shortly.

This offer is a testament to how well you performed throughout our processes." The front-office IB Summer internship - the flagship outcome of the four-year arc.

Blackstone · 2026 Spring Insight Program OFFER

Blackstone Campus Recruitment Team (EMEA) confirmation of selection for the Blackstone 2026 Spring Insight Program. Monday 30 March - Thursday 2 April 2026 at 40 Berkeley Square, London. The second elite-finance flagship of the year alongside the HSBC IB Summer conversion - two of the most coveted programmes in the industry, both secured by a non-target Exeter undergraduate.
